DETAIL

Quebec has its own immigration program known as the Quebec Immigration Program, or the Programme de l’immigration du Québec (PIQ). This program allows Quebec to have a significant degree of control over its immigration policies and the selection of immigrants who wish to settle in the province. There are several immigration streams and categories within the Quebec Immigration Program, including:

1. Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP)

2. Quebec Experience Program (PEQ)

3. Business Immigration to Quebec

The QIP is designed for high-net-worth individuals who are willing to make a significant investment in Quebec. To qualify, applicants must meet specific net worth and investment criteria. Typically, applicants are required to make a passive investment, which is used to create jobs in the province.

This program is for individuals who want to start or acquire a business in Quebec. To be eligible, candidates must have a certain net worth, business management experience, and a viable business plan that meets the program’s requirements.

This program is for individuals who have the intention and ability to create their own job by practicing a profession or trade on their own account.

  • To be eligible for this program, applicants typically need to have two years of experience in a profession or trade that they intend to practice in Quebec as well as they need to demonstrate a net worth of at least $100,000 CAD.
